Wow so much has transpired in the past several days. Of course Lulzsec continues the bad press bandwagon of mockeries and cheap shots, well deserved I am sure for the ridiculous amount of bullshit they have stirred up the past few months.
I am all for making some sort of an impact but using shitty ddos tools and virri isn’t a way to start a revolution, it’s a way to get things patched.
With that being said I went skydiving on Friday over Oxnard in Southern California. I surprisingly wasn’t nervous about doing the jump. This is probably due to a variety of reasons; the biggest being that it was a tandem skydive-meaning I was tied to another dude for the jump. That sounds kinda… you know… “gay” but that is the last thing that is going through your mind when they open the door while two miles up and you’re looking straight down.
I remember being incredibly pumped up for the whole thing, and even going up in the plane; it didn’t quite sink in yet that I was jumping out of a plane until I hit the door open at 10,000 feet and was able to look down. Then I started to move my legs out onto the ledge, looking down and just falling doing several backflips on the way for my 40+ seconds of free falling.
What was I expecting? I was expecting everything to be going in slow motion and to get that stomach drop and feeling of falling, which wasn’t the case at all. If anything that was the fastest minute of my life and since I was going 100+ mph in an airplane as I jumped out I fall at an arch instead of being straight down so the feeling is more describable to flying!
After the parachute was pulled it was about a 5 minute ride coming back down. I was able to steer the parachute and do spins as well as create lift! I am afraid of heights but you’re up so high that you don’t see the ground coming at you so I felt fine. I have been wanting to do this for the past two years and have considered doing it for almost 10, so I am so happy that it finally happened!
I am sure it won’t be the last time either…
